I walked into our new bathroom, peed on the take home pregnancy test, and walked away.
I entered our walk-in closet and began to fold our laundry. I didn’t want to know the results. The very thought was too scary.
But I was going to have to confront it sooner than later.
Within two minutes, my husband came to me, grinning from ear.
“I think it’s positive,” he said.
“Are you sure?”
“I think so. I’m so nervous,” he replied with a smile. “You’ll have to look.”
I headed towards the bathroom for the second time. What would be my fate?

Surprise, surprise! The test was positive!
I was pregnant, and now it all made sense.
At the time, I had been experiencing some strange behaviors, including extremely tiredness and nausea. Not to mention, I dared not enter my beloved kitchen since every smell made me want to puke.
It made complete sense.
I was going to be a mommy.
The Beginning of My Maternity Style
That was 3 months ago.
Today, I’m at the end of my first trimester, and with that comes a challenge – dressing for my growing baby bump.
Needless to say, after a thorough search, not many stores carried maternity clothing that matched my style.
On one hand, I couldn’t fit into the H&M and Express clothing I loved. But I also didn’t like the dowdy, predictable items offered in some of the maternity selections I saw.
In came Simply Be to the rescue with their empowering mantra – WE ARE CURVES.
And I could definitely identify with that.
Due to my pregnancy, I had curves everywhere. My hips were wider, my boobs were bigger and my stomach was expanding.
After perusing their site, I found a glamorous curve metallic skirt and a navy bow blouse that matched my everyday style. However, they were also versatile pieces that could be worn to a super fun business meeting, or to an upcoming holiday party.
To create a statement outfit, I simply paired metallic silver earrings and rose gold shoes with the ensemble.
